Fundraiser for our friend Pramila + Family in Nepal

July 13, 2015

UPDATE:  We did it! Over $10,000 raised for Pramila, her children + her farm-to-be! We are so thankful for our wonderful community of generous folks. We are so thrilled that we get to be a part of this high-impact fundraiser. And we are so, so, so in awe of the continued connections and momentum that continues to extend from our travels. More reason to keep going when we can!

Freedom by the Wheels of a Motorbike

April 25, 2015

The above shot is Casey, my brother-in-law, Scott, and our nephew, Kalin on our way to do a little exploring.

Hammers, chisels, and stone walls. Hard to say what the end goal was but we liked the moment. Listen in.

The brand new Nhat Tan Bridge opened in January 2015.

Hanoi, 2015.

April 13, 2015

So here we are, playing a bit of catchup while traveling, again, in Hanoi, Vietnam. We're in the process of adding a second focus for this blog over the coming weeks - building a tiny house - but in the meantime...Hanoi at night, from a third floor balcony overlooking some banana fields with the Nhat Tan bridge off in the distance. Listen in below.

Pitting peaches - keeping diseased pits out of circulation and out of the compost. Methodical, necessary.

On Systems + Simplicity | Pukahu Version

April 13, 2015

Here we have snippets of some of our projects and everyday tasks that instilled quiet minds, healthy bodies, and simple satisfaction -- continuing on in the spirit of those last two lines of Mowing by Robert Frost (in full in the last post),:

The fact is the sweetest dream that labor knows.
My long scythe whispered and left the hay to make.
